A look inside Virtual Office Admins to see how we maintain our work/life balance!
We are strong advocates for maintaining a healthy work/life balance here at Virtual Office Admins. With more and more access to our offices via laptops, cell phones and tablets, we seem to be taking less and less time for ourselves. So today, we’re going to let you know how we blow off steam and chill out. We’re not saying that our hobbies are the end-all be-all, although we think they’re fabulous, we’re just giving you a little food for thought to get yourself away from your desk and enjoying your life!
How Bonnie Chills
Bonnie Smith, owner and resident go-to-gal, is always on the go. Whether visiting clients, teaching at her local gym or modeling, Bonnie keeps moving. So, what does she do when she finally sits? Well, not sitting, but it is awesome nonetheless. Just this past weekend, Bonnie spent a perfectly sunny spring day relaxing and picking blueberries. Sunshine AND food = a great Saturday.
Bonnie also spends a lot of time with her Weimaraner, Riley, who just also happens to be on the go all the time showing at dog shows, hunting and having beach time with her buddies. And, since she lives in Florida, Bonnie gets to spend a lot of time either near or at the beach. She swims, bikes and runs at the beach almost daily.
Sara’s Favorite Hobbies
Sara Husted, blogger and social media gal, always seems to be moving as well. With a two-year old as her trusty assistant, her days and nights are usually pretty busy. So, how does she find time for balance when her “life” portion of balance is always busy as well? Sara fits in time for a barre class five times a week so she can stay in shape, mentally and physically! It seems like work, but without it, she feels unbalanced.
Sara makes sure to take time out of each day to get out and walk with her kiddo and dog, Buoy and makes sure to get in a good few reading sessions with E. She also secretly loves her quiet time cleaning the house when she can pop in her earbuds and dance/clean. Family time with her husband and daughter key for feeding her soul. Even when her daughter has had enough of family photos (see attached photo!). She also recommends cramming in some binge watching when you can. Her current favorite is Luther. Sometimes wasting time doing nothing is just what the doctor ordered to cure a hectic day.
